Dr Daniel Simmons is a passionate AI technician and water conservationist with over a decade of academic and industry leadership. After completing his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham in 2016, he developed dynamic-threshold leak-detection algorithms that have underpinned his research and innovation in water conservation.
Previously a software engineer in smart-sensor research, Dan founded Quensus to bridge the gap between academia and real-world water risk mitigation. His expertise was valued as a speaker at Insurtech Insights Europe (2025)and his commitment to sustainability was featured on EcoProd as Green Champion.
